Soccer Random tips and strategy
- Stay goal-side of the ball. A ragdoll in front of the goal blocks more shots than one chasing the ball.
- Kick on the way up. Contact during the rise is far more controllable than contact while falling.
- Wait for the ball rather than running at it. Most goals come from the ball arriving where you already are.
- Watch the goal line, not the ball, when defending. It tells you where the danger is heading.
- If the pitch changes shape, re-orient before you chase. Knowing which end is yours saves a lot of own goals.
About Soccer Random
Each player controls a single-button ragdoll footballer. Kick the ball into the opponent's goal. The pitch changes shape and surface between goals, and the ball's bounce is unpredictable enough that a well-aimed shot can end up in your own net.
Because both players have exactly one action, matches come down to timing and positioning rather than dexterity. That makes it unusually fair between a gamer and a non-gamer, which is the main reason these games spread in classrooms and offices.
Default matches run to a fixed number of goals, and there is a single-player mode against the computer if you do not have a second person available.
